ANGELA LEE, Associate Dean of Teaching Excellence and Innovation and Chief Innovation Officer, Adjunct Associate Professor of Business
Angela Lee teaches on the topics of Leadership (The Leader’s Voice), Strategy (Driving Strategic Impact) and Entrepreneurship (Seed Stage Investing). She brings 15+ years of innovation, strategy, and entrepreneurship experience to the classroom. She started her career in new product development and digital marketing in the finance industry. She then moved onto a career in consulting, first at McKinsey & Company and then at an innovation consulting firm. At Columbia Business School, she is the Assistant Dean of the Samberg Institute for Teaching Excellence. Angela is passionate about entrepreneurship and has started several companies the education sector. She is an investor and the founder of 37 Angels, an angel investment network that trains women to invest in early stage start-ups. The network funds early stage startups (led by both men and women) and evaluates over 2,000 start-ups a year.
Angela is a sought-after expert on CNBC, Bloomberg TV, and Fox Business and is regularly featured in media outlets such as Forbes, Huffington Post, and Fast Company. Entrepreneur Magazine recognized Angela as one of Six Innovative Women to Watch in 2015. Angela received her BA from University of California, Berkeley and her MBA from Columbia Business School.
